JULIE ORDON IS A TOP-MODEL, ACTRESS AND MOTHER, BORN IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND. SHE HAS GRACED THE PAGES OF NUMEROUS EDITIONS AND COVERS FOR VOGUE, ELLE, GRAZIA, GLAMOUR, AND COSMOPOLITAN.
A dreamer, I wanted to create a line that reflects my personality: Bohemian, sensual and lolita
This project: the desire to share my dream, my passion, capture simple moments like walking barefoot in my garden, picking wild flowers and pinning them in my hair.
Jewellery pieces are concrete sparkles of my very intimate diary. Protective and mystical just like the hidden tattoo on my neck… wings.
Creation is a journey. I design and imagine my collections everywhere… during photo shoots, on the plane, in the background of the fashion world… I always believe in a secret garden outside space and time. My first collection’s stones were chosen in an hotel room in Paris…
I derive my inspiration from… music and nature.
A non conventional way of wearing jewellery, Hippie Dreamers introduce lines such as body chains and head necklaces, inspired from antiquity, when Indian and Roman wore traditional body ornaments.
Body chains can be worn on top or underneath clothes, like lingerie, intimate, secret and precious. The use of precious materials, gold, diamonds is mixed with other raw and more organics materials such as rope or leather. Every stone is chosen for its therapeutic power and symbolic aspect and comes with a message symbolizing its benefits.
Julie also has been the face of Chanel, Dior, Lancome, Estée Lauder, Biotherm, Piaget, Victoria’s Secret, French Connection, Armani and others, working with noted photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier, Ellen von Unwerth, Mario Sorrenti, Paolo Roversi, and Bruce Weber. She starred in the Chanel Rouge Allure lipstick commercial, a homage to Jean-Luc Godard’s film Le Mépris, which featured the young Brigitte Bardot.
She also appears for the first time in the highly popular Sports Illustrated Swimwear Issue in 2010. Parlaying her success as a model into acting, Julie has appeared in films such as Novela, Inquiétudes, Point & Shoot, Flashbacks of a Fool, and Punch Love.
